Sustainability

Made in Britain with a focus on fabrics that are recycled, end of line and deadstock.

Deadstock fabrics are the “leftovers” of the fashion industry. These are fabrics that ended up either not going to the intended buyer at all or not being made into finished garments. Historically, most of these deadstock fabrics would be simply thrown away, eventually making their way into landfills.

350,000 tonnes (that’s around £140 million worth) of used but still wearable clothing goes to landfill every year in the UK alone.

Second to oil, the clothing and textile industry is the largest polluter in the world. Fashion accounts for 10% of greenhouse emissions and nearly 20% of the world’s waste water—according to the EPA.

Only 1% of our clothing is ultimately recycled into new garments.

The Favourite doesn't adhere to the fashion calendar but will be creating seasonal clothing. Beautiful clothes, made to last, with the lowest possible impact on the planet.

We hope you will come back to your pieces year after year.
